No. 4 Healesville Vic AU

Welcome to No. 4 @ Healesville

in the heart of the world renown

Yarra Valley

This fabulous retro refit with a modern twist offers all the necessary conveniences that one would expect in 5 star accommodation without the fluffy formalities.

Facilities

The home accommodates 6 adults, comprising three lovely bedrooms with quality linen, new mattresses and a selection of pillows for comfort, two bedrooms offer Queen size beds with the third bedroom offering a very comfortable double bed. All bedrooms include wardrobes, towels, extra blankets, heating and ceiling fans.

No. 4 offers one ‘new’ and fashionable bathroom with separate shower and bath. The funky kitchen is brand new and well appointed with easy layout, in the laundry a washing machine is provided.

The lounge area is comfortable & spacious enough with lot’s of cushions, t.v. with quality sound system and Wi-Fi, heating and air-conditioning.

There is also an outdoor dining area with BBQ and lovely grassy lawns to picnic on, the picnic basket is in the linen press. The outdoor fire pit up the back cannot be used during the summer period, the outdoor areas are very quiet and peaceful with birds singing in the background.

No. 4 offers a private and relaxed yet quirky and fun atmosphere, sophisticatedly styled with a sheik edge, finished with fine detail and a few ticks to the decade falling between the late 50’s and early 70’s where things kinda went pair shaped for a while as life tended to break away from old fashioned tradition to free thinking and hanging out at home in comfort.

The views from the front veranda are great! The sunsets are amazing and the back patio area is a lovely place to chill with a glass of wine and a nice big cheese board. Surrounded by a good old fashioned garden. Situated on a large corner block you’ll enjoy the native sounds of Kookaburras, frogs and depending on the weather and time of year you may even get to meet ‘Bluey’ the blue tongue lizard.

Surrounding area

The home is located on the edge of town on a quiet street with little traffic and only local passers by. It’s about a 10min walk into town or 2 minute drive. You’re as close as can be to the famous GIN Joint, and literally a hop, skip and a jump to many of the foodies delights around town or just short drive to the dozens of local wineries, vineyards and restaurants that the Yarra Valley has to offer.

The town of Healesville has a lot to offer with cafes, pubs, restaurants, vintage shops, great retail outlets, gorgeous florists, excellent butchers, along with Asian cuisine, alchemists, chocolatiers, health and healing places, massage, hair and beauty and great parks. We’ve even got a flying fox if that’s your thing.

Close by is the Healesville Sanctuary, our native wildlife park where you’re sure to see Koalas, Kangaroos and even snakes. Tarrawarra Museum of Art is down the road, catch the tourist train through the open farmland and past the vineyards if you like. The Chocolate factory isn’t too far away and the Golf Course is even closer. The Race Course isn’t far either. We have bush walking tracks, hot air ballooning, a local airdrome for light aircraft & helicopter rides, in winter you’re not too far from Lake Mountain snow resort which offers cross country skiing, the winding mountains offer a great scenic drive in a sports car or motor bike, the local bakeries and breweries are a must and so is the cinema in the vines which is offered throughout the summer at various wineries, along with ‘fair-dinkem’ rock concerts @ Rochford winery with a diverse style of live music playing around the valley.

Alas, when it comes to sound within the four walls of this fab retro home, you can forget the old fashion wireless, we’ve got a lovely sub wolfer creating a crisp sound for music, gaming and movies. We prefer the description of ‘light entertainment’ because we really don’t want you throwing parties in our newly renovated home. Quiet get togethers are preferred by the hosts.

No, 4 is designed as a base for the Yarra Valley. Whether it’s a special celebration, or wedding accommodation, a business trip or just a fancy weekend away. We trust that you will enjoy your stay at No. 4 and generally we’re just a phone call away should you need us.

We do not cater for children under 10 or pets. Nor do we accept young adults under the age of 25.

The home is listed on various sites including air bnb for bookings or you can contact [email protected] (tel: 0415 240 365) for enquires / direct bookings.
